Sound Connections
Sound Connections is a music-making group for people with dementia in Flagstaff, Arizona. The mission of Sound connections is to bring therapeutic music services to individuals with dementia and their families and to support self-expression and community-building in music-making.
This was the first initiative from The Greg Hill Fund for Music in Dementia and was a collaboration between Greg’s wife Mo Russell, Greg’s son Joshua Hill, and Greg’s music therapist Meghan Callaghan.
This short film shot and produced by Joshua during the very first session helped secure $10,000 in seed funding from Creative Flagstaff and The Edwin and Wanda Jordan Family Foundation.
